Rare 1998 MARBLE'S KNIVES Fieldcraft model Hunter-Skinner with limited edition stag handle option sold exclusively to the Marble Plus Knife Club - 1 of just 250 such knives ever made AND labeled as the "1st Article of Production"! Proudly made in Gladstone, Michigan USA. Marble's Knives was one of the best US makers of hunting knives, axes and other outdoors gear since 1898. These limited edition knives were made available to the members; this is NOT one of the Marble's general-issue knives. Additionally, this knife still has the original 7/17/98 dated purchase receipt from the Marble Plus Knife Club, a great find!
The knife is about 7-1/2" / 19 cm overall; satin-polished blade is about 3-3/4" / 9.5 cm long; the 2-line Marble's / Gladstone, MI U.S.A. logo is stamped on ricasso. The blade is RAZOR-sharp; the tip is intact; the blade is laser-etched indicating the 1998 Club Knife limited edition of 250. Genuine stag handle and pommel; the handle is tight with zero movement. This knife is in as-issued mint condition, complete with original maroon-brown leather sheath, cardboard blade protector, paper wrap, sale receipt (1 of 250 made; 1998 sale price was $105), and original correctly-labeled "Bobcat" retail box. This limited-edition Fieldcraft was expertly hand-finished in the United States, well before Marble's moved their production to Asia and started dealing out an ordinary mass-made junk... This rare limited edition knife is VERY hard to find these days; don't miss your chance to add it to your collection!
