Hunter boots do have a slight clouding (known as 'bloom'), ... .....if you have ever owned a pair of Hunters or any natural rubber boots I am sure you will be familiar with this.  Hunter website states-"This is a common process, characteristic of high quality, natural rubber, in which insoluble particles rise to the surface."

  Hunter rubber buffer will remove this, or alternatively just use a clear polish/wax to temporarily remove it.
