C&O number 614 is brute power restored to sleek, absolute perfection! See this giant in her “home” territory as she thunders up the New River Gorge in West Virginia. Here are two round trips – from Huntington to Hinton and return – all in winter. Watch as 614 wrestles the coal drags, the first on bare ground and the second in the snow. Then, 614 blazes through the Great Gorge in all its autumn splendor and climbs both Afton Mountain and Allegheny Summit. This is big steam heating up the cold rails!
