99.9% of all natural diamonds have internal imperfections, called inclusions, that determine the clarity grade of the stone. As the diamond was formed over millions of years, so too are these inclusions, ranging from black carbon spots, feathers, air bubbles and pin-points. Lower clarity diamonds with visible imperfections are less desired and so advanced filling or laser technology removes or hides such imperfections making the diamond clearer and cleaner. Our engagement rings and most diamonds over 0.40 carat come with independent certification from an unbias diamond grading laboratory. The independent lab will grade the 4 C’s (carat, cut, color, clarity) of the diamond and we have no influence on this grading. However, if you’d like complete peace of mind, you may have a local jeweler inspect and appraise your jewelry. From experience, our jewelry is evaluated at at least 2-3x the price paid.
