Original Arts and Crafts solid oak writing box hand carved Celtic design c.1900
A beautiful original Arts and Crafts writing box. The box is English and dates from circa.1900-1910. Handmade from solid oak with a carved top with central shield containing the stylised initials "CM" and surrounded by a intertwined Celtic band. The box is made to resemble a book in shape. Inside the box has a lift out tray with chamfered edged dividers, it's original inkwells and pen tray. The box is in good solid condition but the lid is very slightly warped. It measures 32.5cms long, 25cms wide and 8cms tall. 32.5cms long, 9 7/8 inches wide and 3 1/8 inches tall. The sales price includes free UK delivery.
