Manjushri Statue

This is a cold cast resin statue of MANJUSHRI that is beautifully plated with bronze and hand painted accents.  It has exceptional detail and craftsmanship.

This statue is a respectful representation that is substantial with good weight.


Manjusri, which means Gentle Glory or Sweet Splendor, the personification of Transcendent Wisdom, is the Chief of the Bodhisattva, and the instructor for seven Buddhas. As one of the ancient Buddhas, Manjushri vowed, "I shall be the Guide to lead all Bodhisattvas to achieve the state of complete enlightenment. Until this vow is fulfilled, I will not become a Buddha."

Manjusri is often seen riding a green lion, which symbolizes the wild mind which can only be "tamed" and transformed by meditation. Thus the practice of meditation is mandatory for all who are strongly motivated to develop a calm and subdued mind, and Manjusri is the deity who can help them to overcome all obstacles as they pursue this Dharma practice.
