Acquired from an American collection of vintage Braun items
Approx 85 mm in height and 57 mm in diameter
This one-of-a-kind custom made metal case is in very good condition with age related patination - that could be polished out without difficulty - and no significant damages. Its a rare and interesting piece that has been a talking point in my collection for some time. It was originally acquired from an American collection of vintage Braun pieces.

Information about the Braun T2 Lighter
The T2, which made use of a new magnetic ignition technology, was reportedly one of Rams's favourite creations. Its sculptural simplicity made it is a fabulous example of Braun's Bauhaus-tradition, Ulm School design and it's an incredibly pleasing item to operate.
There's an example held in the permanent collection of design at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York (see link below) and examples featured in the Rams retrospective titled 'Less and More' that was held at the Design Museum, London, between November 2009 and March 2010.
