ORIGINAL, RARE & VG Condition USMC 6X30 M9 Binoculars & M17 Type Carrying Case

This is an ORIGINAL and rare example of the standard M9-type 6X30 power binoculars issued to Marine Corps field commanders and others having need for long distance vision capability during WWII. The binoculars are constructed in the conventional manner and are black in color with the upper plates well-marked with the manufacturer's name--Universal Camera Corporation--(see images below) and "USMC/6x30/M9" . The binoculars are still fully functional with clear optics and a range-finding reticle.  The binoculars are missing the next strap, which can easily be replaced with a modern strap available at a camera store. The binoculars are carried in a M17-type carrying case.  The strap for the case is actually the strap for the binocular itself, which has been attached to the case with small screws (see images below). The top carrying handle is intact.  The carrying case is in good overall condition with no evidence of dry rot.
