No 615 Squadron was based at Kenley airfield during the during the Battle of Britain.

We have selected to show a Hawker hurricane I P3109 which was flown by Flying Officer Peter Collard and was shot down at sea on the 14th August 1940. One of the roads on the former Kenley Airfield was named after him to commemorate his loss.

The artist is Ross Wardle, who was one of the Matchbox Kits artists before the company dropped out of kit market.
