This item connects to the MIC input of your PC. (If your PC does not have a MIC input, please ask about a similar model we have, that uses a USB connection).

System records the phone calls, caller ID information, and date / time of call - and places the recordings into daily folders.

Once connected - it silently records when ANY phone on the same line is engaged and stops recording when the call is ended. (It is also designed to connect to a phone handset for business use, monitoring, or training). Records .WAV files; playback in .WAV or mp3 formats with the built-in player or Windows media player, etc.

Digital performance: High quality recordings. Copies can be made without loss of quality. Recording to disk is more reliable than recording to tape, and typically sounds much better than flash recorders.

Simple Operation: Recording is automatic. Calls are displayed at a glance. Each recorded call is a separate file. It is a very comprehensive recorder system, but is also very easy to use.

Instant Replay / screen capture: Calls can be replayed instantly - even while recording. Find calls quickly. Play calls on any windows PC. Recordings can be copied, emailed, encrypted, and backed up. Screen shots can be stored with calls.

Outlook Integration: Using Caller ID, the recorder will automatically enter the caller's number in Microsoft Outlook. To enable this feature, first stop recording, then click preferences in the recording menu. Check both 'I Have Caller ID' and 'Outlook Lookup' in the preferences menu. You can also add an Outlook Journal Entry. The entry contains a link to the contact and the time, duration, and start time of the call. The 'Billing Information' field is very useful for tracking and billing phone calls. The call duration automatically updates when recording ends.

Hard disk or network storage: Select a local hard drive or a network file server to save recordings. Use a shared directory for easy access over a network. Listen in live from a remote workstation.

Included playback utilities: Additional utilities are included for call sorting and indexing, live remote playback, and call detail (SMDR) recording. Sort calls and screen shots for quick retrieval.

Install with Hidden Mode and the program operates discreetly. You may also choose standard mode to have it display onscreen.

It took a little while to get this set-up - and once set-up, it performs flawlessly. You just connect the device to your phone line and to your PC's Mic input. Install the software, and set some adjustments to get the levels right. Adjust your PC's mic input level to approx. 50%, and adjust the device's slider to about 75% as a starting point. Set a trigger point that creates a minimum sound threshold for voice activation. I set the trigger low and set timeout for about 5 seconds. Test it and make further adjustments if necessary so the sound is not too quiet, nor too loud where it is clipping or distorting. Find the right mix and you will make high quality recordings.
