For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Restored 1937 Parker Vacumatic Double Jewel Burgundy Pearl Celluloid Fountain Pen in the Standard Size. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition. The color is fantastic on this Vac.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, breather tube, and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. Hand polished the Gold Filled Feather Clip, Three Ring Cap Band, Bottom Jewel Tassel and 14K Parker NIB. Additionally, I cleaned, buffed, polished and waxed the barrel, cap, and blind cap to protect the celluloid bring back the vibrancy of this fountain pen.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The color is a lovely burgundy color that really displays quite well. This cap displays the Split Arrow Gold Filled Clip and Three Ring Cap Banding, which displays no brassing. The top and bottom jewels are black and been polished to bring back a beautiful shine. The barrel imprint is clearly stamped with, "GEO. S. PARKER PARKER VACUMATIC MADE IN USA. with Date code 7 (for 1937) in the 4th Quarter". The transparency of the barrel is very good and a person can easily see through the barrel, albeit with some ambering. The blind cap securely fits.

This 1st Generation Parker Vacumatic has the correct Lock Down Filling Unit. The Vacumatic Filling System works great, typically in my tests with water about 7-8 presses to fill full. This Parker Vacumatic is a Standard size, which measures 5 1/4" in length capped and 6 1/8" posted.

The Parker USA NIB is a 14K gold Split Arrow NIB with only slight flex. The actual writing portion (iridium) of the 14K Parker NIB has a medium point measuring roughly .65mm when measured with digital calipers. When creating a writing sample, the NIB writes with a fine to medium stroke/line. In the writing sample provided, the fine line measures at roughly .57mm and the medium stroke measures .80mm when measured with digital calipers. The sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This is a Vintage Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen displaying a great Burgundy Pearl color with an excellent smooth writing Nib. I would easily grade this Parker in Excellent Condition after my restoration. This Vac is ready to write or just add to writing arsenal collection.

Please Read Carefully Before Bidding: I strive to find unique and difficult to find pieces that I believe will capture the attention of collectors. If you would like different pictures or have concerns on damage, on whether it is repainted or repaired ask before bidding. If I can find out, I will.
