The obverse shows the Miraculous Mary, also known as Our Lady of Grace, with radiant light emanating from her outstretched hands. The reverse shows the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary surmounted by a cross and the monogram of Mary, surrounded by twelve stars that symbolize the twelve apostles.
The Miraculous Medal reminds the faithful of Mary’s devotion and promise to the world and it conveys special graces upon the wearer.
