someone in my family had the framing reworked with black archival board placed behind the etching
very neutral piece the etching is black,
the matting gray
and the frame is gray/wood
wire hanger mounted at the back
written in pen on the back
is Louis Leloir 1843-1884, French etching, The Cavalier circa 1870-80
a lot of fine detail
some light foxings and tonings on the artwork paper
the detailed frame features light chips or edgewear,
measures total 17-1/2 by 15 inches
