Description
Nine paper dolls from the Clark's O.N.T. Cotton Thread DOLL'S WEDDING series date from around 1900. The bodies of the dolls are folded at the top edge and the dolls are free standing. The face and arms are inserted into the fold. Each doll measures about 2 1/4 x 5" and all are in fine, clean condition. There are no tears, bends or creases. The reverse of each is age toned, as expected, but the paper is not brittle.
A complete set of the Doll's Wedding series consists of twelve dolls. Offered here are nine dolls only, as follows: the bride, the groom, the best man, the minister, three bridesmaids, the mother of the bride, and the father of the groom. This set is missing a bridesmaid, the father of the bride and the mother of the groom. Both sides of the paper dolls are shown reduced in the scans.
