 1983 SEIKO H556-5029 Sports 100 "Pre-Arnie" or "Baby Arnie" Alarm Chronograph 

                                                                                                                                     

This Seiko keeps accurate time for a vintage watch.  The  slightly smaller H556 is nicknamed “the Pre-Arnie” or "Baby Arnie"  because it narrowly pre-staged its far better-known brethren, the slightly  larger H558 “Arnie,” known for its unique place in action film history.  Arnold Schwarzenegger wore the H558 in at least five of his epic 1980’s films – Predator, Raw Deal, Commando, Running Man, and Twins; he wore it personally before the films, and continued to wear it for years after, as evidenced in multiple press photos.  For those interested in more on this beautiful Seiko Arnie, including pictures of Schwarzenegger himself wearing it, be sure to read WatchGeeks.net’s “The Seiko Arnie.”  Check out a restoration of a similar H556, here, and for an online, printable PDF of the H556 manual, check here.  Related, check out this great write-up on WatchUSeek, here.it

THIS WATCH IS IN ALL ORIGINAL VERY GOOD CONDITION. ..A GREAT FIND FOR COLLECTORS. AT THIS TIME IT IS THE ONLY H556-5029 ON EBAY 

DIAL: Original dial, with original hands.  Dial-excellent ,without any discoloration or patina. Lume still shines after exposure to  bright light

BEZEL:  Bi-directional, original bezel insert; It does not rotate at this time. Not a hard fix by a good watchmaker.Bezel shows  some wear. but still in good condition.

CASE: Original 38.5mm wide x 43mm lug to lug (41mm w/crown) stainless steel case is in just super condition  Matching original caseback. 

CRYSTAL: Original crystal, with minimal scratches or scuffs.

BAND:NEW-  I added a full size (can easily be shortened to your exact size)quality silicone/rubber tire-tread style black band, with a double locking deployment clasp. It replaces the original stretched and unusable original

MOVEMENT: Original three jewel Seiko quartz/analog movement, manufactured in 1983  The movement features the following:

    -Primary digital time set;

   -Day/date calendar’

   -12 and 24-hour displays

   -Secondary digital local time setting, can be used as GMT;

   -Analog time setting;

  -Hourly time & signal function;

   -Digital display illuminating light (which works well);

  -Digital alarm

  -Digital stopwatch (measures minute, second, and 1/1000 second up to 60 minutes);

  -Batttery life indicator (if battery requires replacement, all the digits in the digital display start flashing).

CROWN: Original screw-down unsigned stainless steel crown.
