Pack has stamps from both the Countries ~ France & Mauritius.

A few words from the Pack:

Acting on behalf of the French East India company which was already set up on Bourbon Island - today's Reunion Island - Guillaume Dufresne d'Arsel landed at Mauritius on 20 September 1715. He claimed the island for the king and named it Isle de France. 

The climate and wildlife made settling an arduous task, so much so that when the Dutch arrived in the 17th century, they decided to abandon ship. However, from 1735 onwards, the new governor - Bertrand - Francois Mahe de La Bourdonnais - undertook a construction programme to give the colony solid foundations: roads, aqueducts, mills ...
