Overview 2.36mm Diameter Standard .093" pin and socket power connectors from Molex provide a flexible design choice for medium-power applications.

Molex's Standard .093" pin and socket power connectors are an industry standard connector system based on an .093" pin diameter. Molex’s 2.36mm diameter terminals are used in the 5.03mm pitch Standard .093" and 6.71mm pitch 3191 products.

The terminals can be used in either crimp housings or crimp receptacles and are capable of carrying up to 14.0A (9.0A with the largest circuit size housings; 17.0A with high-current/low-force terminals). The system is available in wire-to-wire and wire-to-board configurations, up to 15 circuits.

What is Glow Wire: 

Glow Wire referenced Molex product is manufactured from material that has the following ratings, tested by independent agencies:

  1. a)  A Glow Wire Ignition Temperature (GWIT) of at least 775 deg C per IEC 60695-2- 13.

  2. b)  A Glow Wire Flammability Index (GWFI) above 850 deg C per IEC 60695-2-12.

This complies with the requirements set out in the International Standard IEC 60335-1 5th edition - household and similar electrical appliances - safety, section 30 Resistance to heat and fire.

The customers using this product must determine its suitability for use in their particular application through testing or other acceptable means as described in end-product glow- wire flammability test standard IEC 60695-2-11 and any applicable product end-use standard(s).

What's Low Halogen Terminals: 

  • Bromine less than 900 ppm per homogeneous material
  • Chlorine less than 900 ppm per homogeneous material
  • The sum of Bromine and Chlorine less than 1500 ppm per homogeneous material

This definition allows Molex to meet the vast majority of customer and industry definitions of 'Low-Halogen' (or 'Halogen-Free').
