Reverse of Cover gives details, a few words: On May 29, 1914, on a foggy night on the St. Lawrence River, just east of Rimouski, Quebec, the coal ship SS Storstad collided with the Royal Mail Ship (RMS) Empress of Ireland. Ill-fated passengers who didn't drown in their beds were thrown overboard or blown into the water when the boilers exploded. Fourteen minutes after the impact , the Empress had fully capsized.
