PANCHATANTRA Stories From India cassette tape Animal Fables 1993


This is “Panchatantra: Stories From India,” by Margaret Lawrence, a previously-owned audio-cassette-tape manufactured independently in 1993. It is in great shape (double-checked) and comes with all artwork.

The Panchatantra is an ancient Indian collection of interrelated animal fables in Sanskrit verse and prose, arranged within a frame story. The surviving work is dated to about 300 BCE, but the literature is thousands of years older. The text's author is unknown, but has been attributed to Vishnu Sharma in some recensions and Vasubhaga in others, both of which may be pen names. Track-listing:
