Fantastic Historical Image

The Hatfield-McCoy feud is the stuff of legends, and even an award-winning mini-series. On one side are the affluent, politically connected Hatfield's of West Virginia, pitted against their bitter rivals, the McCoy's of Kentucky. The feud was sparked by a lone McCoy's service to the Union during the American Civil War, for which he paid with his life in 1865. Violence again erupted 13 years later, this time over a hog, and both sides escalated the violence. In all, 12 family members died over 25 years, and today the names Hatfield and McCoy are synonymous with vengeance, violence and family honor.

Here is a beautiful historic image of the Hatfield clan from 1897, when the family was still engaged in trials resulting from the calamitous affair.

This is a beautiful black-and-white 5x7. Gorgeous and professionally printed reproduction (not junk created on a home computer) Only the finest quality.
