Amazing & Historical Photograph

These formerly pristine white gloves were carefully placed in Lincoln?s left pocket on the fateful night of April 14, 1865, when the assassin?s bullet found his head. When the bullet, fired from the gun of John Wilkes Booth, struck Lincoln at Ford?s Theater, the gloves were tarnished with the blood of one of the greatest presidents in American history.

His wife Mary Todd Lincoln kept them as a remembrance of her lost husband.
