Item Description

A vintage nutbird or whimsy.  These were originally made by YZ, and then mimicked due to their popularity.  This is likely a non-YZ nut bird, but YZ largely did not mark their products, so we are unable to determine the maker.  It is marked British made on the bottom.  These are in overall good condition with some mile finish wear.  No apparent damage.  Feet look to be wood, only Bakelite is the beak.  The backs are about 5" tall and 4" wide.  These would porbably be called a whimsy as they are made from wood pieces, not nuts.
