Issued April 1st, 1939 in honor of the
New York Worlds Fair, the largest ever at that time.
Pictured on the Stamp is the “Trylon” and ‘Perisphere” two of the most famous images of the Fair. The Trylon was a 700 foot tall
spire that was connected to the Perisphere,
a sphere with a diameter of 180 feet.
This block is 84 years old, suitable for framing
or for mounting in your scrapbook.
