~ Wonderful! Early, large and gorgeous gently faded rose pink tones!~ This textile is a large, antique French bed curtain ~ It's wonderful, and LARGE ~*~ ~Vichy is an area outside of Paris that produced this gorgeous fabric , that became known as Vichy check . Vichy check was the primary furnishing fabric of the late 1700's and early 1800's ~ the trim is fabulous!!! ~There are 25 of the most glorious , 18th century brass rings for hanging on the top of this textile, it's extraordinary ! ~ ~ ~  the tone of the check has developed a beautiful faded rose red  ~*~ STUNNING ~  ~  This panel was once a Bed curtain panel and has the most wonderful gathered top, tiny tiny pleats and is backed in homespun linen tape  ~  A wonderfully rare textile~  ~ Its made by seaming the  panels of the wonderful check together and the bottom has a hand stitched hem. This panel is in wonderful condition, with the exception of some minor flaws ~  *~ . ~ ~* ~and would be stunning used as a curtain panel, or lovely for projects such as pillows, light upholstery , lampshades, wall hanging, table cover etc ~*~ ~*~ ~ . ~*~ ( panel B57 )

MEASUREMENTS : Wonderful large piece ~ this textile measures: 95.5 inches long, 160 inches wide at the bottom and at the top, where it is gathered , it measures 64 inches wide ~*~

CONDITION : This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition ~ There are the usual signs of time and use, some holes, some staining, some small rust spots, some hand mends some wonderful patches and hand mends!!~ it's SO beautiful ~
