This is an antique, Yaka tribe, hand carved wooden, male ancestor fetish figure which is bound with rope, medicine bundles & magic charges, a cow horn and a few worn feathers. This antique African fetish figure was collected in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and was made by the Yaka people. This Yaka fetish is in great condition with some chips to the wood, the feathers are worn and this statue leans far back on a flat surface and would do better displayed in a corner or on carpet. This Yaka fetish would make a fine addition to any African art collection. This beautiful Yaka statue measures 37 inches tall by 11 inches wide and weighs 18 pounds and 8 ounces.
