The DUKW is a six-wheel-drive amphibious modification of the 2 ¹⁄₂-ton CCKW trucks used by the U.S. military during World War II and the Korean War.
The name which is rather fitting was derived from manufacturer's code for a type of military wheeled amphibious landing-craft (D means 1942, U means utility (amphibious), K means all-wheel drive, W means 2 powered rear axles). This was the fasted 'truck' at the time with a max speed of 50mph.
The kit can be assembled so the wheels can be removed for water base use and replaced when on land.
Please note that this model is a static model intended for war gamers and collectors and is approximately 1/56th - 1/48th scale.
Laser cut 2mm MDF and grey board with Laser etched detail. Kit supplied unassembled and unpainted.

This pack is just one of our range of building kits suitable for 28mm wargaming and for dioramas. The buildings come flat packed and can be assembled and ready for use in no time at all. They are made of laser cut 2mm and 3mm MDF which has been been textured with floorboards / planking and tiles
where appropriate. The MDF wood is unpainted. The roofs are removable to allow you to place models inside the buildings.
We suggest that you use PVA glue to permanently fix the building together. Painting is optional, we think that a quick wash of ink will be enough for most gamers but of course, you can add more detail if you prefer.
If you need glue for your models, I sell Revell Contacta Adhesive, Revell Professional polystyrene glue and a range of super glues and other adhesives. They can be found in the 'Arcane scenery' and 'Glues, Fillers, Paints and Tools' categories of my shop.
