• This lovely fabric is an antique French, Art Nouveau fabric , dating c1890-1900. Ideal for  many cutting projects or lovely for timeworn interior !  This panel was most likely used as a large curtain panel and is made by seaming 3 width ( 2 full widths and one thinner width on the side) together to make this lovely large piece! ~ This wonderful large scale design uses beautiful tones of warm creamy beige ground, deep natural green, dark rusty sienna off-white and chartreuse. This fabric is printed on each side as it was designed to be used as furnishing fabric. This was a quite common practice in the late 1800's. This fabric has a cretonne weave ( thin warp and thick weft cotton)  One side of this fabric is slightly more faded than the other ( I have photographed the slightly more faded side) and there is gentle wear on the surface of this cotton .  This piece has small holes  in the 2 full width panels. The central full width panel has 4 dime sized holes and the panel other full width panel has 2 also near the top. This piece also has some very very small holes visible when held to the light, again primarily near the top. There is wear on this panel on the surface, so this piece is absolutely ideal for many cutting projects such as beautiful pillows, light upholstery or would be lovely for backing, mending and reworking for a wall hanging or curtain~     ~ ~*~  ( piece 106)

MEASUREMENTS : This lovely piece measures : 66 inches long by 81 inches wide ~.
