Wilson Álvarez during a thirteen-year baseball career pitched for the Texas
Rangers, Chicago White Sox, San Francisco Giants, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, and Los
Angeles Dodgers. Since 2013, he has served as pitching coach for the Gulf Coast
League Orioles. Alvarez provided one of the highlights of the 1991 Chicago White
Sox season on August 11, pitching a no-hitter against the Baltimore Orioles at
Memorial Stadium in only his second Major League start.
This is his gray button-down game worn jersey. ”Chicago” scripted across
the front in black edged in white. Black numbers edged in white also on the left
front of the jersey. Black and white knit sleeve cuff. Russell “R” on the right
sleeve. The left sleeve has the baseball diamond patch with a white sock in the
center featured on it. “ALVAREZ” in black edged in white sewn directly in an
arch on the back. Tagged in the lower front with the large white Russell
Authentic Diamond Collection size 48 tag. Below it are two white tags. One reads
“40-48-95” and the other “100% POLYESTER”. Another tag reads “2” EXTRA LENGTH.
It remains in good condition. Worn during the 1995 season.
