"Stars over Pyramids" Quilt

Up for bid is this all-cotton quilt featuring strip-pieced triangles in mostly red/white/blue reproduction fabrics.  It is machine-pieced and machine quilted with stars quilted onto the triangles.  On the wine-colored cotton back is a tag documenting the

California quiltmaker and dated 2008.  It has a  very graphic light/dark strip-pieced  sawtooth border that is really stunning. This piece is a very graphic statement, and it would be wonderful to display on your wall, but it is also strong enough to be used

as bedding.
