Description: The Peoria Watch Company was formed in 1885 and a factory facility was completed in 1886 to house the watch making equipment from the Fredonia Watch Company and production began in late 1886. This example is serial number 8685 and is a 15 jewel hunting case movements that has been recased some time in the past. The watch appears to have a broken balance staff and the dial has some hairlines.
Due to not having a crystal the watch lost it's hands during storage. it came from a collectors estate and was in his to do box .
