The descriptive word “greaseless” is applied to this type of polishing compound because  it is made completely free of grease, oil or wax. 

 The formulations are composed of abrasive grits blended into a mixture of glue and water, which serves as the adhesive binder.

Glu-Tite / Gluebond Sizing Compound

For best performance, and to make your greaseless compound last longer on the buff, treat the wheel with Glu-Tite before applying the compound.

Glu-Tite is gelatinous glue that is easy to apply to revolving buffing wheels.

It serves as an anchor coat of glue when used before the application of greaseless compound to form a thicker and longer lasting abrasive head.
