Seven Years Of Highly Defective People" gives insight into Dilbert that is entertaining in itself and even makes some of the comics more funny. Scott Adams comments on the comics he likes, the ones he hates because he wrote when he was tired, the ones that were inspired by personal experience, and the ones that got the best response from readers. Detailed entries in Adams' unique writing style explain the history and evolution behind each character. This book looks much like other Dilbert books in format: page after page of comics. The only real difference is that they are not necessarily in consecutive order, and there are red handwritten notes below the comics or in the margins of the page. There is also a nice full page explanation of the characters that have found there way into Dilbert's world. Lots of funny that office workers can identify with. Dilbert fans will enjoy this one!
What started as a doodle has turned Scott Adams into a superstar of the cartoon world. Dilbert debuted on the comics page in 1989, while Adams was in the tech department at Pacific Bell. Adams continued to work at Pacific Bell until he was voluntarily downsized in 1995. He has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1979.
This previously owned paperback book, copyright 1997 and printed in the USA, is in very good condition; one page was folded but I don’t see any other marks or folds on any of the other pages. Some of the cartoons are in color and others are black and white.
