JORDACHE fashion girls size 5 white jean shorts 1990s horse logo beat-up denim


This is a previously-owned pair of girls (size 5), distressed white jean shorts with embroidery on the back pockets (Jordache brand, 63% cotton / 36% polyester / 1% spandex). They measure approximately 10½ inches (across the waist when laid flat), 22½ inches (along the inseam) and are in fair condition, as there area a few marks on the front (see picture)…

Jordache Enterprises, Inc. is a clothing company that manufactures apparel including shirts, jeans, and outerwear. The brand is known for its designer jeans that were popular in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The company originated in 1969, when the Nakash (Naccache) brothers opened a store in New York City. By 1978, they had entered the jeans manufacturing business, basing their styles on the European denim market, where jeans were more body-conscious and fashion-forward. To set their brand apart, the brothers created an aggressive 1979 ad campaign starring an apparently topless woman in tight Jordache jeans riding a horse through the surf. The ad was rejected by all three major television networks, but independent New York stations aired it, and Jordache surged to popularity.
