Angel is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yukiru Sugisaki. It premiered in Japan in the magazine Monthly Asuka in November 1997. Book 1: Daisuke Niwa is an ordinary middle school student who has inherited an interesting family condition, where the sight of the girl he adores transforms him into a phantom thief. Book 2: The annual midwinter hike is no walk in the park for the students of Azumano Middle School. Daisuke has been dreading the trek all year, but at least he gets to show off his rugged charms for his beloved Risa. But when Daisuke and Riku find themselves lost and alone on the frigid mountainside, it's Dark to the rescue. Can the Phantom Thief save the day without blowing Daisuke's cover? Book 3: It's time for the St. White festival, and Daisuke has been so busy working on the festival committee that he's forgotten to get a present for his beloved Risa. His mother, in her infinite generosity, forces Daisuke to take a simple white ribbon as a gift. But unbeknownst to Daisuke, there's a story going around that if a boy gives a white ribbon to a girl and ties it for her on St. White, they will fall in love. Again, these books are in NEAR MINT condition. Here's the thing: these books are in Japanese so unless you read Japanese, you won't be able to read them, but you can certainly enjoy the great Japanese artwork. No collection of D.N. Angel items is complete without these books.
