One of the most beautiful hand block printed, antique French fabrics that was used to make this extraordinarily beautiful quilted valance! ~ This textile was once used as part of a bedding set. The front fabric is printed with the most glorious arborescent design! Stunning medium weight cotton with wonderful floral and butterfly ! ~ The tones are the most charming combinations of purples , greens, browns, gray and the ground tone is an antique white. This valance is quilted by hand and has a wonderful trim . The backing is GORGEOUS! Lovely remnants from the very early 1800's used on the backing!!~ As charming as the front! ~*~ This textile would make a stunning curtain valance, bed valance , wall hanging or gorgeous used to make pillows etc ~ a wonderful textile! MEASUREMENTS : This valance measures 23 inches deep at the deepest point of the scallop by 200 inches wide.
CONDITION : This beautiful fabric is in as found, not freshly laundered condition with light storage dust. Beautiful condition indeed! ~*~ One side edge is cut and the other is finished. There are some small rust stains and small holes where this textile was once hung. Gorgeous!! ~*~
