50 YEARS OF UNITED NATIONS.
During the Second World War, the Allied Forces recognized the need for peace-loving nations to establish an organization promoting international peace and security. This led to the founding of the United Nations on 24 October 1945.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the anti-racism declaration, bodies like Unesco, Unicef and Unctad, and peace-keeping forces have all contributed towards achieving and maintaining a high standard of international justice.
