This is a rare November 1970 playbill from the Original Broadway production of the SHERMAN EDWARDS and PETER STONE musical hit "1776" which played the 46th Street Theatre in New York City. (The production opened March 16th, 1969 and ran for 1217 performances.) ..... The Tony Award winning "Best Musical" starred WILLIAM DANIELS, DAVID FORD, JOHN CULLUM, ROY POOLE and HOWARD DA SILVA and featured BETTY BUCKLEY, ROY COOPER, PETER LOMBARD, VIRGINIA VESTOFF, RONALD HOLGATE (Tony Award winner), BRUCE MacKAY, EDMUND LYNDECK, RALSTON HILL, ROBERT GAUS, EMORY BASS and WILLIAM DUELL ..... Side note: BETTY BUCKLEY, who made her Broadway debut in "1776" had just returned to the show after making her triumphant West End debut in "Promises, Promises" at London's Prince of Wales Theatre ..... CONDITION: With the exception of light edge wear, this rare playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian.
