Up for your consideration is this fabulous pair of BRAND NEW true vintage Van Raalte Gloves. These were made from a "new" formulation of a specially spun Nylon - first developed, and used at their N.J. factory. Starting in post WWII America Van Raalte was the 1940's version of Victoria's Secret... The company sold its products through all of the upscale department stores of the day, Such as Macy's, Sak's 5th Ave. and Bloomingdale's they became well known for their high level of quality. Their company slogan was “VAN RAALTE: Because You Love Nice Things”. These gloves are brand new and never worn - and were stored perfectly, they come to you in mint condition in their original bag with the original price tag still attached to the gloves, holding both of the gloves together.  We have many different sizes, colors, and lengths of luxurious Van Raalte gloves listed - as well as other lingerie and gloves, please be sure to see all the other items we have listed.


  • FEATURES: This is a brand new pair of genuine Van Raalte gloves. These are made from a specially woven Nylon fabric that was extremely easy to care for, and looked Fabulous!! This pair is 9-1/2" long and goes just past the wrist. Manufacturers only really started using nylon on a mass scale after WWII. Women loved it for it's terrific fit and ease of care. The tag states 'Wonderfully Washable'. These nylon gloves have a delicate textured finish that give it the appearance of fine "Kid Leather Gloves".

          Company Timeline:
    • 1902 or 1907 - Emanuel and Zealie Van Raalte start E. & Z. Van Raalte Company in New York City, NY.
    • 1910 - First American-Made veiling produced in a new factory built by Van Raalte's in Lakeview, NJ.
    • 1941 - July 26th the US Government bans use of silk except for military use.
    • 1977 - Van Raalte sells out to Kellwood Company.

    You really like the thing, but not so much the price .....

    I find cool stuff, do some research and list it for what I think it's worth. Sounds pretty simple but sometimes not. So if this is something you really like but its a bit more than you had hoped to pay, then be sure to watch this because I can't send it to the bank, and if it ends without a buyer chances are good that I will drop the price and re-list it until it does sell! Two things for sure - it will get sold sooner rather than later, and that's better for both of us.
