This is a rare advertising handbill (flyer) the West End revival of the CARYL BRAHMS and NED SHERRIN musical entertainment "I GOTTA SHOE" (produced in 1962 as "CINDY-ELLA") at the Criterion Theatre in London. (Originally written for a 1957 BBC holiday broadcast, the musical opened December 17th, 1962 at London's Garrick Theatre and played matinees only during the Christmas season. The same cast revived the musical the following year at The New Arts Theatre in London, opening December 23rd, 1963 and once again playing matinees through the holidays. This revival opened December 15th, 1976 and again ran through the holidays.) ..... Set in New Orleans, Louisiana, this lively All-Black version of the classic "Cinderella" included a score which ranged from spirituals to calypso to capture the sufferings and triumphs of the title character.
