This is a rare March 1979 "Stagebill" playbill from the National Tour engagement of the award winning revival of Bram Stoker's "DRACULA" at the Shubert Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. (The production opened October 20th, 1977 at the Martin Beck Theatre in New York City and ran for 925 performances while simultaneously playing on the road and abroad.) ..... The play starred JEREMY BRETT in the title role and featured DALTON DEARBORN, JOHN LONG, VICTORIA PAGE, FRITZ SPERBERG, NICK STANNARD, MARGARET WHITTON and DAVID HURST ..... Side Note: The production was awarded a 1978 Tony Award for "Most Innovative Production of a Revival" due primarily to the ambitious sets and breathtaking costumes designed by EDWARD GOREY. The only other Tony Award presented to "DRACULA" was for EDWARD GOREY's costume designs ..... CONDITION: With the exception of light edge wear, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian.
