This is a rare set of two advertising handbills (flyers) from the Broadway revival of the ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER and TIM RICE musical "EVITA" at New York's Marquis Theatre. (The production opened April 5th, 2012 and closed January 26th, 2013 after 337 performances.) ..... The musical starred RICKY MARTIN, ELENA ROGER and MICHAEL CERVERIS and featured MAX VON ESSEN, RACHEL POTTER, CHRISTINA DeCICCO, GEORGE LEE ANDREWS and BRADLEY DEAN ..... DETAILS: Advertising handbills (heralds) were distributed or inserted into the playbills of other productions to help generate ticket sales for upcoming shows. One of the handbills (second and third scanned images) measures 4" X 9" inches, features RICKY MARTIN on the front and opens to reveal several production photos, credits and excerpts from five reviews and includes a discount offer on the backside. The single page, two-sided preview handbill (last scanned image) measures 4" X 9" inches, features ELENA ROGER on the front and includes individual photos of the three stars, promotional text and a discount offer for preview performances on the backside ..... CONDITION: With the exception of light edge wear, this set is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This set will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
