All seven volumes are greatly preserved for almost two centuries in existence. Bindings are tight;  the hinges are secure. 
Occasional light rubbing  and discoloration to leather that remains whole and supple. Internally complete and generally clean;
light sporadic spotting; mainly frontis, stemming from the engraving. Printed on a hand-made paper that remains pliable. 
Previous owners' decorative bookplates to pastedowns//ffeps. Included are many rare pieces, not commonly found in other
editions.  This is from a smoke free home.
