Olympia

HIT 2000 - Calculator History

Olympia Werke was founded in 1903 in Germany to develop and manufacture typewriters - please remember the famous "Mignon". Early in the Seventies Olympia partnered with Matsushita (Panasonic) to stay competitive on the difficult market of electronic calculators before operations were ceased in 1991.

This HIT 2000 marks one of the earliest combinations of a calculator and clock in a portable housing and precedes Toshiba's LC-831W by a few month!

From a technical point of view it is indeed composed of a printed circuit board with the calculator and another board with the clock and some other stuff.

The calculator on auction is in very good cosmetic and working condition and delivered with its original protection pouch.
