This is a rare October 23rd, 1941 playbill from the three-night, Pre-Broadway engagement of William Shakespeare's "MACBETH" at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut. (The revival would open November 11th, 1941 at the National Theatre in New York City and run for 131 performances.) .... The play starred MAURICE EVANS and JUDITH ANDERSON and featured PHILIP HUSTON, ERNEST GRAVES, GRACE COPPIN, ABBY LEWIS, WILLIAM HANSEN, HARRY IRVINE, RALPH CLANTON, WILLIAM NICHOLS, ERFORD GAGE, WALTER WILLIAMS, ALEX COURTNAY, JOHN IRELAND, HENRY BRANDON, STAATS COTSWORTH, JOHN STRAUB, HERBERT RUDLEY, GREGORY MORTON, JACKIE AYERS, VIOLA KEATS, RICHARD TYLER and ALFRED PASCHALL .....
