This top hat has a round head opening of 1" and is 1" tall. The brim measures 2" by 1 3/4". The hat is made of dark purple paper with a 1/4" black satin ribbon band. I no longer add Velcro inside the hats to help them cling to the doll's hair because some customers complained that it messed up the hair but a piece of sticky backed Velcro could be easily added inside the hat for that purpose. I have moved this hat straight to clearance because the top of the hat is a little bit ugly at the seam.
The hat fits Mego 8" dolls but will also work for the smaller dolls in the Barbie family like Chelsea (as shown), Tommy and Kelly (as shown). It is the right size for Ryan but his weird hairstyle doesn't let the hat sit properly on his head.
There is no place to hide my company label, Thumbelina Gowns, but since there are limited ways to make and decorate a hat, I will repeat various hats that prove popular. Nevertheless, the hat has been photographed and listed in my design catalog so I can try to keep them limited. Handmade detailing increases the cost/value of the design.
