This is a rare September 15th, 1941 playbill from the Post-Broadway engagement of the ORSON WELLES and JOHN HOUSEMAN production of "NATIVE SON" at the Majestic Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts. (The production opened March 24th, 1941 at the St. James Theatre in New York City and ran for 114 performances before going on the road. Following the tour, the production would return to the Majestic Theatre on October 23rd, 1942 for an additional 84 performances.) .... The play starred CANADA LEE and featured JOHN BERRY, PATRICIA PALMER, STEPHEN ROBERTS, EVELYN ELLIS, HELEN MARTIN, LLOYD WARREN, GLADYS COLE, THOMAS ANDERSON, RENA MITCHELL, RODESTER TIMMONS, WARDELL SAUNDERS, C. M. BOOTSIE DAVIS, WILLIAM DAVID, DIANA DUSTIN, CHARLES CRISP, BRYDA-RAE KING, JOHN RANDOLPH, WILLIAM CHALLEE and WILLIAM MALONE .....
