This is a rare December 24th, 1951 programme (playbill) from Emile Littler's Eleventh Annual London Pantomime "ALADDIN" at the London Casino Theatre ..... Among the cast was sixteen year-old JULIE ANDREWS as "Princess Balroulbadour". Others in the cast included DESMOND and MARKS, MARTIN LAWRENCE, CAROLE JEFFRIES, NAT JACKLEY, WALTER CRISHAM, GLORIA GEORGE, JIMMY CLITHEROE, JACQUELINE ST. CLERE, DAVID DAVENPORT, The OLANDERS, ROSS HARVEY, FIERY JACK and the TILLER GIRLS ..... Side note: Sixteen year-old JULIE ANDREWS had been thrust into the national, if not international, limelight when she made her professional debut in London's "Starlight Roof" revue in 1947. She was even given the ultimate British honor of being invited to appear in the annual Royal Variety Performance of 1948 where, apart from singing her customary aria, she was charged with leading the assembled cast and audience in the closing royal anthem.
