Papal Document (?) from the early 18th century, hand-written in ink on vellum. In pencil on the document someone wrote "Pope Clement XII 1730-1740". But I don't know if this is from the hand of the Pope. I do know that handwritten documents on vellum during this period were of special importance because of the expense and durability of vellum. If anyone can shed light on this document, I would be grateful. Most papal documents were signed by secretaries and assistants.
