Jamdani originated in East Bengal currently known as Bangladesh. Partition saw migrant artisans re-settle in the current West Bengal, India, and continue to practise this fine ethnic art. Traditionally woven saree of Bengal, the Jamdani saree is fabulously rich in motifs in geometric, figural and floral patterns woven in a contrasting shade to the base fabric of silk or cotton. The motifs are often woven with maroon, white, green, black, silver and golden coloured thread woven into a gray or natural coloured base fabric.

Our Matka Muslin Jamdani Saree is a modern take on Jamdani, adorned with Zari weaving in ball (circle) design. Pair it with your favorite jewellery and flaunt this piece of heritage Bengal.

This Sari could be adorn for special occasions like Marriages, Event, Engagement Function, Casual, Wedding, Ceremony, Festive, Party and many more.
The saree can also be presented as gift to be worn for wedding, function, event, party or as you want.
