This regal pair of 19C English Staffordshire figural royal hunt whippet greyhound mantle dogs in traditional rarely found style are hand painted with delicate facial features, warm russet coats and cobalt ink well bases on which they are seated in formal pose. Highly desirable and scarce, this elegant pair with softly aged patina will make a stately presence, bringing a touch of the English countryside to any setting in which it is placed.
